I watched this again for the first time in, like, 15 years. Both times the "unrated" version, which was also the UK Theatrical version. I remember really enjoying it the first time, and was hoping it'd still live up to that initial viewing. It did. What a great movie. The strong start, the mental anguish of Sarah, the claustrophobic vibes, the hopelessness; it all comes together so well. Lot's of jump scares that still get me today. The only thing that irked me at all is the continuity of the blood on Sarah: It goes back and forth from her being covered and stained red over he face and body, to what looks like a quick squirt of ketchup at her hairline in a couple scenes. It kinds took me out of it for those shots. |
